What is bin location?
A bin location is the exact spot in a warehouse where an item is stored, written as a code for aisle, rack, shelf and position, such as 12-C-03. Pickers use bin locations to find items fast, and the ERP or WMS uses them to plan picking routes.
Bin location example
Bin 07-B-2 means aisle 7, rack B, shelf 2, which is enough for a picker on her first day to find the hose fittings unaided.
