What is pick ticket?

A pick ticket is the warehouse’s instruction to pull the items for an order, listing each item, its quantity and its bin location. Ideally the lines run in the order a picker walks the aisles, and the ticket prints, or appears on a handheld scanner, once a sales order is released to the warehouse.

Pick ticket example

Twelve lines run from aisle 3 to aisle 18. The picker marks two short where the bins are empty, and the shortage shows on the order for the CSR within minutes.
