What is partial shipment?
A partial shipment is a delivery that includes only part of an order, with the rest shipped later once it is available. Its opposite is ship complete, where the distributor holds the entire order until every line can go out together.
Partial shipment example
A contractor who needs fittings now and fixtures next week asks for ship partial. A repair shop that can’t start the job without every part asks for ship complete.
