What is buyer?
A buyer is the person responsible for purchasing products for a business. At a distributor, buyers decide what to stock, how much to reorder and when; at a customer, the buyer or purchasing agent is often the person a sales rep has to win over.
Buyer example
The distributor’s buyer reviews the ERP’s suggested purchase orders each morning, while across town a plant’s purchasing agent compares three distributors’ quotes for the same order.
